Jai worked with CFA crews – _read the land_. They’d say _he’s sharp_. A big tourism group came; he’d lead – _follow the burn_. They’d ask about emus; he’d say _they know_.

A developer wanted to build a resort; Jai opposed – _you’ll lose it_. They said _it’s progress_; he’d say _it’s danger_. Locals backed him – _he’s right_.

The development got rejected; they’d say _Jai fought_. A uni student asked about ecology; he’d say _it’s the fire_. He’d say _the land’s awake_.

Jai’s tours drew photographers – _the ashbeds_. They’d say _it’s intense_; he’d say _it’s renewal_. They’d ask about his country; he’d smile – _it’s mine_.

A big wildfire hit; Jai led burns – _it’ll regenerate_. Locals rebuilt; he’d say _nature plans_.

Years passed; Jai’s work drew scientists – _the patterns_. He’d say _it’s the fire_. They’d ask about plants; he’d say _they’re waiting_.

The local pub had Jai’s photos – fire, wildlife, people. He’d say _it’s one story_. A kid asked _can I light one?_; he’d say – _ask the land_.

Jai started a festival – _Celebrate the Burn_. People loved it; he’d say _it’s yours_. He’d point at the regrowth – _that’s its song_.

Jai’s work gained attention – _fire advocate_. He’d say _it’s not mine_. He’d keep tending – _it’s alive_.
