Attempting to offer a solution, I kept my pet away from the baby’s room. Nevertheless, these measures were insufficient for her. She insisted that I banish my pet from the house entirely. She even reached the extreme of disinfecting my sofa where my dog habitually slumbers!
At this point, my patience reached its breaking point. I confronted her, stating if she possesses such vehement objections regarding my ‘unclean’ dog, then she is free to seek shelter elsewhere. She reacted explosively, labeling me devoid of compassion for giving preference to my dog over her and her baby, and abruptly departed in tears. Subsequently, my parents unleashed their wrath upon me, condemning me for not being conciliatory enough.
Thus, I am left wondering, was my decision to command my sister to leave due to this situation justified?
